COFFEE
HOUSE CONCERTS Dear Friends of the Coffee House,
The Coffee House Concerts Series at Church of the Holy Communion has come to an end after four successful and rewarding years. We've realized the series can't support itself on ticket sales alone, there's no money in the church budget for it, and we can't accept any support from outside the church.... not the way we would like to have seen it work out, but that's the reality. All good songs come to an end.
It's been a great run, with the likes of Bruce Cockburn, Jesse Winchester, Janis Ian and many others performing for us. Local talents Alvin Youngblood Hart, Bill Ellis, Sid Selvidge, and the Tennessee Boltsmokers certainly made us proud as well, when they were guests on our stage.
The list of folks who made the Coffee House such a success are too long to list here or anywhere. But endless and heartfelt thanks are due to all the talented performers who graced our stage, to all the volunteers who toiled behind the scenes for each and every show and last but not least to all those who bought tickets, came out and supported us over four fabulous years. Thanks for your presence. |
